Before attempting to nominate someone, please take some time, if possible, to discuss with them the importance and magnitude of the nomination as well as sharing with them the criteria for department leadership. What we're looking for is someone one who has the proven expertise, experience and track record in the area for which they're being nominated. This person must not only have the demonstrated ability to serve in the nominated capacity for at least four (4)  years, but they must also be willing to create a program, ideally a duplication of what they're already doing, that can be introduced and implemented on a national scale for the overall uplift, betterment and empowerment of the Black community and America's Inner Cities.
